Seating & study space
The McLennan Library caters for both quiet and group study. The new facility includes worktables, a quiet study room, a media room and an area dedicated to research where we can assist with enquiries, teach you how to use Arcadia etc. The media room can also be used for quiet study when it is not being used to view videos.
Additionally, two study areas have been wired to accommodate lap tops – worktables close to the book collection and individual carrels in the NAB laptop room, located at the ‘quiet’ end of the library.
There are also a number of PCs available for student use within the library. Most are located close to the book and the compactus serials area. There are also PC’s in the research area. All PC’s are connected to the school’s network and through the network to the library’s two copier/printers.
The quiet study room may occasionally be booked for exclusive use by other MBS patrons. Students will be advised by signage when the room is booked for meetings.
Photocopiers
There are two photocopier/printers located in the print room opposite the loans desk. The machines operate with the use of a rechargeable copying card, available for purchase from the card dispenser adjacent to the room. Another copier is available outside the Westpac Computer Lab. For more specific instructions, refer to Print and copying.
After Hours Book Return
An after hours book return is located outside the library entrance.
