The McLennan Library was established in 1985 with a specialized, quality collection developed to support the teaching and research programs of the school (at that time known as the Graduate School of Management).
The library, officially opened in 1986 and named after one of Australia's industrial leaders, the late Sir Ian McLennan, was located on the ground floor of the new Graduate School of Management building.
Towards the end of the 90’s the library had outgrown its original premises and planning for a new facility began. In late 2002 the library was relocated to the first floor of the school’s Foster’s Wing. The new facility offers patrons and library staff alike a pleasant and spacious working environment offering easy access to the full range of the library’s collections and services.
